Delete my data

You can ask us to delete the personal data Axumworks holds about you at any time — it’s your right under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the GDPR. There’s one simple way to do it: send us an email.

01What to include

To help us find and verify your data quickly, please tell us:

  • Your name.
  • The email address or phone number your data is associated with (send from that email if you can — it helps us confirm it’s you).
  • The company you’re connected to, if you dealt with us through a business that uses Axumworks.
  • Whether you want everything deleted, or only specific data.

02What happens next

  1. We confirm we’ve received your request, usually within a couple of business days.
  2. We verify your identity to make sure we don’t delete someone else’s data by mistake.
  3. We delete the personal data we hold about you — and ask our service providers to do the same — within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep something (for example, records needed for tax or accounting).
  4. We email you to confirm once it’s done.

03If a business connected your data

Good to know

If your data reached Axumworks because a business you buy from or sell to uses us (for example, you’re listed as one of their distributors or customers), that business is the data controller and we process the data on their behalf. In that case we act on their instruction — email us anyway and we’ll forward your request to them and help get it actioned.

04WhatsApp & messaging

If you interacted with an Axumworks agent over WhatsApp, you can ask us to delete the messages, media, and phone number we processed from that conversation. Just mention WhatsApp in your email.
