Axum uses what it reads to prepare entries, to find late customers and to build the sales views.
Your accounts and contacts
When Axum prepares an entry, it reads your chart of accounts, your contacts, your taxes, your currencies and your products. It also looks up your bank and cash journals.
Earlier entries
Axum looks at earlier bills and payments in Odoo to find a possible duplicate.
Phone numbers
The call list reads the phone number of a customer from the contact in Odoo. Your team uses it to open WhatsApp.
What Axum writes
Only after a person
taps a button.
The Accountant agent prepares an entry from a receipt. It writes the entry to Odoo only after a person chooses Post, Save as draft or Undo.
See the AccountantA bill or an invoice
Post creates the entry in Odoo and posts it. Save as draft creates the entry without a post. Your books do not change until a person posts it in Odoo.
The original receipt
Axum attaches the photo or the PDF to the entry in Odoo.
A payment
If a document is a payment, Axum can record the payment and match it to an open bill.
A new contact
Axum never adds a contact on its own. A person must approve a new contact first.
Discard and Undo
Discard writes nothing to Odoo. Undo cancels an entry that Axum wrote, and the entry stays in Odoo as a cancelled record.
How you connect
Axum staff set it up.
You do not enter Odoo details in the console.
What Axum needs
Axum needs the web address of Odoo, the database name, a user name and an API key. Do not send the API key on WhatsApp or in the chat.
Where Axum works
Axum uses the Odoo external API. It works with a self-hosted Odoo, Odoo.sh and Odoo Online on a Custom plan.
How Axum keeps the details
Axum stores the connection details in an encrypted form, for each organization. Axum connects only over HTTPS.
