Connect Odoo to Axum
Axum can read sales from Odoo and write accounting entries to Odoo. Axum staff set up the connection for your organization.
Who connects Odoo
Section titled “Who connects Odoo”Only Axum staff can save the Odoo connection. The console has no Odoo form for customers. To start, email support@axumworks.com.
Axum needs four details from Odoo. These are the web address, the database name, a user name, and an API key. Do not send the API key in WhatsApp or in the Ask Atlas chat.
What Axum reads
Section titled “What Axum reads”For sales data, Axum reads the posted customer invoices and their product lines. This link is read only.
The Accountant looks up your Odoo contacts and accounts when it prepares an entry.
What Axum writes
Section titled “What Axum writes”Axum writes to Odoo only when a person chooses Post, Save as draft or Undo, in the console or in WhatsApp. See Approve a draft entry.
Check for new Odoo products
Section titled “Check for new Odoo products”This card does not show that the connection works. To check the connection, contact Axum support.
- Open Settings in the left rail.
- Select the Products tab.
- Find the New from Odoo card.
- If the card says “Every product code that Odoo invoices is linked to a product.”, you have nothing to add.
- If the card lists products, link each one to a product, create a new product, or ignore it.
If the card never shows Odoo products and you expect them, contact Axum support.
